The Dryland Research Training and Ecotourism Centre(DRTEC) Chemeron is an interdisciplinary research and coordination Centre for Egerton University, and is rooted within the strategic plan of the University as well as that of Chemeron DRTEC 2018-2023.

Crop Management Research Training (CMRT) is headed by a Director who is the administrative and program head. The Director is assisted on the day-to-day administrative matters by a Senior Secretary and an Accounts Clerk.

Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS)

The Faculty of Health Sciences has experienced phenomenal growth since 1999 when it started as one department to the current eleven (11) fully established departments. With this steady development, the faculty is focused on growing into a college of Health Sciences in the near future.

The mandate of the faculty is to teach and train high caliber health-care professionals, provide healthcare services and consultancy, conduct research and participate in extension, outreach and community services.
