The growth of information and communication technology has intensified the need for dynamic and adaptable communication and media skills. This need is aggravated today in the twenty-first century because of advances in communication and technology that determine how people and nations of the world are interconnected into a real “global village”.

The goal of the Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media is to develop strong communication skills, media literacy, and critical thinking abilities necessary for success in various fields such as journalism, Public Relations, advertising, or digital media in preparation to face communication challenges of the twenty-first century.

Candidates must satisfy the general Egerton University admission requirements together with those in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences in accordance with **Statute 37(2) of 2023**.

• Language Prerequisite: Obtained a minimum score of C in English or Kiswahili.
• Diploma Entry Path: Candidates may be admitted if they hold a Diploma with “credit” or higher in Communication or Media from recognized institutions in accordance with Egerton University Statute 37(2) of 2023.
